Clam House replaces Feng Wei BBQ in Monterey Park. Clam House made news on its first day of business as that’s where some people fleeing Star Dance ran for cover.

In Taiwanese / Minnanhua, 五哥 is “go go”, though usage would be a bit strange. For fifth older brother, they would normally say go hian, which corresponds to 五兄 (Mandarin wu xiong). “Go” or “ah-go” is an intimate term, e.g. someone talking to her boyfriend.
So it could be a play on words, or maybe there’s another dialect where it’s “go go” in a more straightforward way, … or maybe this is an example of how internet BS gets made.

We got Banh Mi & Egg Rolls from Banh Mi Che Cali on W. Valley Blvd, Alhambra.
Kind of a long story how we decided on Che Cali but when it was suggested I looked it up on the board and saw you’ve posted about the OC locale @Ns1, so you kinda rec’d this one too. Not sure how it compares to OC but it was a hit at the potluck.
