Had lunch at Luyixian yesterday for the first time. ENjoyed very much. Was on my way to You Kitchen and decided to try a newer place.
Beef Noodle Soup (Spicy) was excellent - very fragrant broth and good quality (and quantity) of beef.
Tofu with cilantro was tasty.
Spicy wantons were also good - but no real spice.

Luyixian
Tried to bring my parents there this weekend, but I got overruled and we went to Lan Noodles instead (which was very good).
Food looks great at Luyixian. Will hopefully get to try it soon…

Shoutout to the OG Ho Kee on Del Mar. Their cheung fun is spot on and reminiscent of the ones I inhaled on mutiple trips to Taishan. I prefer this style to any of the others. You can ask them to add an egg to any of the CFs. Bonus points for the excellent chili. Their stir fried rice noodles have a hefty amount of wok hei.

Also check out Shanghai Food and Groceries in the same plaza. The frozen sections has wontons, dumplings, and baos to take home. I wanted shepherds purse wontons but vegetarian which they didn’t have.

Welcome.
There is a huge Little Saigon thread if you haven’t seen it yet
Not to take away from Trieu Chau and Phnom Penh Noodle/“The Shack”. Those 2 places are classic and are a must-eat, with one being Vietnamese and the other Cambodian, respectively.
Both here in Little Saigon, there are 2 Hu Tieu joints literally a minute walk from each other.
1st up:
Phuongs

Condiments are a must! Pickled garlic and chiles

And the star, Dry Hu Tieu Nam Vang with soup and some real good tomato sauce, better than Scott Conants tomato sauce! Phuongs is…
