White Negroni Pina Colada
Would that be called “fusion-drink”?
Probably? I think this one is a “aperitiki” drink.
Parm Boyz use to make this (with Suze instead of St. Germain and Lillet) so that’s where the idea is from.
I don’t have a shaker that’s why I shake it in a juicer. Add the scotch whisky, Cherry Heering, sweet vermouth, Cointreau and beet puree into a juicer https://houseandbeyond.org/best-juicer/ filled with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Double-strain into a coupe or cocktail glass.
Garnish with an orange twist.
I need a margarita recipe.
From my friend who used to have a B&B in Tlaquepaque:
2 oz. Mexican (aka Key) lime juice
2 oz. tequila blanca
1.5 oz. Controy (or Cointreau)
1.5 oz. simple syrup
Shake with ice. My firend uses the Mexican-style lime squeezer and turns the lime around after pressing to get more oil out of the peel.

For a less sweet one:
Personally I say hold the salt on the rim. That’s for Salty Dogs only.
We recently had a Margarita with salt on only half the rim. I thought that was darn smart.
The history is too murky for anyone to know whether the original had a salted rim. Personally I don’t find tequila, lime, or triple sec bitter.
Thank you. I made a pineapple one tonight.
No cocktails here, low carb.
At my friend’s little bar in Glendale, The Oak & Vine.
They have bottles of Clyde Mays from their own privately selected barrels.
Its before noon, but I deserve it lol
From a local distillery. R6, a collaboration with Eagle Rock Brewery. Guess they’re using used
beer barrels for the whiskey.
Very interesting since it’s usually the other way around. Not sure I’ve seen whiskey/bourbon being aged in beer barrels.
I’ve never heard of that either. Eagle Rock reuses wine and whiskey barrels.
Porter barrels. Porter is nice and dark.
Old article but still…
