Hello. Fruit seems to have inspired a few more posts than did South Asian, so hopefully the trend continues for June. We’ll see what noms the summer heat inspires (I felt close to fainting at the Buddhist Festival this weekend… Pics coming later).
How can you go wrong with a baby octopus popsicle? It would be fun to set up a stand at the Iowa State Fair just to see the reactions. That fair has a ridiculous variety of fried food on a stick.
ooo. Whitebait! Delicious itty bitty fish fry (that is, baby fish), gently cooked with egg whites. a touch of salt and a bare sprinkle of fine black pepper.
I was introduced to them in New Zealand, and have never seen them anywhere else.
