Yeah, Eric is a good/nice dude. If his shtick isnāt for you thatās fine. But heās genuinely passionate about food, restaurants, etc
Thatās more than fair, though I donāt totally follow the cynical age part. I have, obviously, no comments about him as an actual human and am not commenting on him as a real life person, only his media persona.
Probably the narcissism of small differences, but I do find his media/public imageā¦ frustrating. To me itās classic hipster stuff: irony soaked, pretending not to care about being cool while actually being super invested. Thereās something clubby and winking about it all without quite owning that. Foodheim is really not for me but Iām in the minority I guess.
Somewhat ironically this is prob the reason people found the Horses article obnoxious. Anyway, Iām sure most people donāt come on here to read my dorm room analysis of food culture figuresā¦
Hilarious. I was following Foodheim (stealing that) on IG, but it got to be too much.

The irony of these two trying to do The Spotted Pig basically, oy veyā¦
Maybe, but the menu did offer a āKiss the Chefā option for $1,000. And by 10:30 p.m., a server reported that a male diner had bought the first kiss ā on the cheek ā with Ms. Johnson.
WTF???
Kara Swisher characterize Billions as āwealth pornā. Think it applies here.
buildouts are really expensive
Or, freshly single and I hate dating appsā¦I dunno, itās a bit much.
Blini is plural. Youāve made a blin, dear Liz J.
But i rather enjoyed the whole vid
