Is there any "formula" or posting rationale for the user/yelper-posted images on Yelp?

I am always looking for the most recent shots on a place but can never figure out how to find them.
There seems (to stupid ole’ me) to be no rhyme or reason for the pictures’ order in the image list, other than starting with “from the business owner.”
Does anyone have some insight into this?

you can sort the reviews by “newest first” and look for the ones with pictures

Decent work around, I guess. The fact that the images are not already ordered by date they were posted is kind of redic, no?

They’re default sorted to “Relevance”, whatever that means.
