Langer's Delicatessen - Beyond the Legendary Pastrami... Corned Beef Hash, Matzo Ball Soup and Lamb Shanks?

Hi @Dropkicku,

Thanks for the info on Aardvark. Sounds wonderful.

Iā€™ll have to try their Turkey next time, interesting. We love the #27 (Chopped Liver & Egg Salad Sandwich) which is a great combination as well. If you like Lengua, I think youā€™ll enjoy Langerā€™s take on a great Beef Tongue Sandwich.

Hi @chowumla,

Youā€™re welcome. Yes, Langerā€™s is wonderful! And even more convenient nowadays. It took us only ~17 minutes from the Westside to Langerā€™s nowadays with no traffic. So good!

Thanks for the reminder.

Iā€™d have to do regular pastrami and a pastrami reuben. Damn!

Yep, this is the time for me to do it! There was no line to park out front for curbside?

What, do you call when you get there order and wait? Iā€™ve never done curbside anything LOL!

Yep, Gr8pimpin is a curbside virgin.

Awesome! We love the tuna melt! Iā€™m gonna have to take break from working from home and order some food for curbside dining.

Thanks for reminding me to eat some Langerā€™s

Hi @Gr8pimpin,

There were 2 cars ahead of us, but you can park all along the front side of Langerā€™s (most of the little storefronts are closed / not busy, so the street was empty).

You can call first and see how busy they are (they told us itā€™d take about 15 minutes), so when we were about 15 minutes out or so, we called in the order. They ask for your carā€™s make & model so they can keep an eye out for it.

Then you just pull up front. (If you want to make doubly sure they know youā€™re there, you can just redial them again and let them know youā€™re in front.)

I hope you enjoy your visit.

Hi @TheCookie,

When this all clears up, definitely try dining in Langerā€™s once at least. Wonderful, old timey feel. (And if you didnā€™t know they have Free Parking just 1 block away on the corner of 7th & Westlake.

Out of curiosity I emailed them to ask. They ferment carrots with buttermilk and chiles. No soy, so itā€™s weird to call it ā€œmiso.ā€

Thank you @robert for checking with them! I was curious too. @NewTrial @Omotesando

So itā€™s carrot quote ā€˜misoā€™. Maybe it was the fermentation plus buttermilk that was getting to him.

OMG, that corned beef rueben has eluded me to this day! I must rectify this injustice.

Donā€™t sleep on the #6 add sunny side up egg! Another winner in the already loaded arsenal of Langerā€™s.

Thanks for the update boss!
