That conversation transported me back to my 20s… but I can guarantee you that when we got the munchies back then we weren’t eating pizza like this!

Burrata

So buttery, creamy, a little too much olive oil, because occasionally there’s such a thing. Being a shameless crostini lover one of my favorite things about PS’ antipasti is the accompaniment of thin, perfectly crispy, pan fried toasts. :hearts:

Bismarck - Fior di Latte, Prosciutto Cotto, Sunnyside-up Egg, Pecorino, Moliterno al Tartufo, Basil, Truffle Oil, Sea Salt

You’d think with the truffle cheese & truffle oil it’d be a truffle bomb but it’s not. So delicious. Who doesn’t like eggs & ham? Add delicious cheeses and basil for the green. I do like it, Sam-I-am!

Maybe the soupiest PS pizza. Soupy center is not my thing but this pizza is so good I’ll overlook that point!

Bardasce Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo

This “pizza friendly” wine is a favorite of the PS staff but not a big seller. I hope they keep it on the menu because its become a favorite of mine. Montepulciano grapes, big red fruit flavors, refreshing, hits my rosé sweet spot.:hearts:

Sorry, can’t remember what the white wine is except that I liked it. Here’s the wine list from this visit…

I must give a shoutout to PS tap water. Yes, the water. Maybe the cleanest, crystal clearest, tap water I’ve had in a restaurant. I’m thinking it’s uber-purified for using in the fantastic pizza dough? Such attention to detail. :hearts:

So happy to have Pizzeria Sei in our proximity!

Mala lamb and surprisingly the tricolore salad have my heart. Special marinara a close second. The patate with caviar is cheating so I don’t know that I can rate it fairly. Mostly I appreciate the dough and the range of flavors + ingredient quality in the pizzas they have.

I am super excited to see the pics from tuesday’s tasting menu. He ordered enough caviar for 100g a pizza. So uh. it’s gonna be generous.

Wow, that special marinara looks great indeed.

I saw that some Savoy alum, Daisuke Nakamura of Bacar, also had datterini tomatoes on his marinara. He’s all the way out in Okinawa, but it may be worth a special journey sometime if I’m in Tokyo, maybe later this year.

the concept of wabi-sabi took a beating over the last few years from social media interior design influencers’ tips on how to make “aesthetic” apartments, let’s not try to use it to describe pizza, please :sweat_smile:
