Yeah it’s kinda insane. Not all tipping is the same I understand why you might not tip for a ordering for a baked good but pushing it to such extremes is ridiculous

I just picked up takeout from a restaurant that uses clover and the 3 options for tip were 18%, 25% and 30%. What are we even doing?

Doesn’t the restaurant set those options? That’s wild

What??!?!?

When they try and pull that kind of shit I go with $0

The thought crossed my mind for a second but then I tipped my normal ~12% for takeout/pick up. It’s unsavory.

really?

A tipped employee is responsible for configuring that screen?

You’re a better person than I. I am sure your holiday spirit/generosity was appreciated.

Had a hand-held recently with options for 18, 22, and 25%, but a custom option tab too. Kinda beginning to resent the aggressiveness of that but can live with it. It’s not the server’s fault.

Do not be bullied into tipping higher than you wish. If you feel 15% is appropriate than boldly go and choose it. And for counter service, 10% max for me.

The nerve of putting a a 30% tip option on the machine. That in itself would probably make me dock a star on my Yelp review
