Vår tid är nu / Our Time is Now / The Restaurant

I’m enjoying this. It’s a trashy period-piece multi-generational, multi-decade melodrama centered around families that own and work in a restaurant, but also a semi-serious dramatization of the development of the Swedish welfare state.

Sundance has the first three seasons, which might be the whole story arc. There’s also a four-part Christmas special that aired last month, but it may be a flashback / fan service sort of deal.

We’re watching it through the Roku channel, first week free, then $9 a month. So 30 cents an episode.

Strictly speaking, the subscription is for AMC+, which you can get through various other services besides Roku.
