I just had the margherita special. It’s hard to see a margherita pizza being significantly better than that one.
They weren’t there today.
Sei named in 50 top pizza list from what I gather it’s kinda like the global best restaurants awards.
Also a new personal fave that I found at pizza fest truly also made the list.

they should start releasing omakase spots on the 1st of the preceding month at 10am pst

Hayato seats 35 per week (140 per 4 week period)
If Sei only does one tasting per month thats only 16 seats, if twice then 32 at best.
So basically on a monthly basis there are 8.75 Hayato seats to every one OmakaSei Seat. which when put in that perspective makes it sound like Hayato is easier to get into.
Although we have no idea how many people might be going for each seat and most likely Hayato has a higher potential demand per seat than Sei.
Either way may the odds be ever in your favor.
Someone definitely stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night!
I hit it just 1 or 2 seconds after the link appeared on Resy. It was already sold out. We’re competing with an army of bots and executive assistants.
I saw Chef Will at the SMFM today and mentioned how quickly the Omakasei sold out. He seemed really excited that everyone loves his passion project, so hopefully it’ll continue to happen and maybe increase in frequency!
really impressed how william keeps improving every time. the new cold cali-margherita is like a pan con tomate turned up to 11. and new beef tongue calzone was incredible with crisp crust on both sides.
